Alison W. Hanson, LS - President
Ms. Hanson's experience and growth as a Survey Manager and Team Leader in previous positions allowed her to maintain a direct relationship with internal and external clients, as well as county and state review agencies on projects located from Southwest Virginia to the Tidewater area. She oversaw the research, acquisition and recordation of on-site and off-site easements for private and public use. Her experience and education in boundary law, allowed her to be involved with parcel locations, creations, leases and divisions. A familiarity with area zoning and ordinance regulations serves as an asset to her clients and their specific project needs and success. Ms. Hanson's survey and GPS experience in projects included the following: Proposals, Project Planning, Contract Writing, Project Budgets, Deed Research, Boundary and Topographic Surveys, Construction Staking, GPS Control, GPS Planning, GPS Evaluation and Processing, Easement and Parcel Maps, Easement Acquisitions, Legal Maps and Descriptions, Subdivisions and ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys.
She is a registered surveyor in Virginia and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering Technology from Old Dominion University in Hampton, Virginia.
Leslie R. “Les” Byrnside, L.S. - Vice President
Mr. Byrnside is a Licensed Surveyor in the Commonwealth of Virginia and has
been performing surveying services across Virginia for over 20 years. He has
managed and performed field and office operations necessary to provide
surveying services for your next surveying project. He is a seasoned
project manager and has performed projects ranging from location surveys and
bridge situation surveys on highway projects for the Virginia Department of
Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration, to large boundary
surveys and ALTA / ACSM surveys for the Virginia Department of Game and
Inland Fisheries, the Virginia Department of Forestry as well as for private
and municipal clients across the Commonwealth of Virginia. He has been
providing field surveying, survey computations (conventional and GPS) and
complete management support for projects conducted for private, government,
and industrial clients. His primary responsibilities have included project
management and supervision of field and office data compilation, computation
and plan checking and review.
He is a 1985 graduate of West Virginia
Institute of Technology where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in
Civil - Surveying Engineering Technology.
